My shattered heart

Decomposing inside me,

Pus and bile, worms and every vile thing

Growing fat off the pieces

Of jagged stale sugar donut

Dripping blood red jelly

On my chest

Somewhere in La La Land

The coven rejoices

At my desolation

As they pull on a leash.

Secure that their slave

Will nevermore roam

Voices whisper

“Remember the Prophet

 Remember the map

 Embedded in the images

On his skin”

Follow the prophet?

Let the abscess open

Spill out the stinking mess

One, two, three

See, easy.

Siren song calls

“You resisted so long”

“Come away with us”

And the Prophet

Lifts boxes at work

Does he know

I mean to trace his steps?

To let dark overwhelm

To become

Comfortly numb?

Anything to kill the pain

Of desolated heart.
